Previously it was reported that there were some issues between director Vignesh Shivan of‘Poda Podi’ fame and actor producer Dhanush during the shooting of ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ because of delay in canning the climax. Some even stated that queen bee Nayantara offered to pay for the additional costs to avoid tiffs.

However during a recent interaction actor Dhanush brushed it off as rumors. ‘We had a little issue with budget overshoot towards the end. But, Nayanthara did not spend anything to wrap up the film. It was all us’, he added.

Meanwhile our favorite actor is gearing up for the release of ‘Thangamagan’ .

Jayam ravi next movie now set to release on 24th December

The film ‘Boologam’ which was started in 2012 having Jeyam Ravi and Trisha as male and female leads respectively. This film was directed by Kalyana krishnan who was the assistant of S.P.Jananaathan. Prakash raj, Hollywood actor Jones and others have also played their part in this film. The story of this film is based on the boxing which was once famous in north Chennai area. Jeyam Ravi and Trisha have acted as a boxer (in the name ‘Boologam’) and Trisha as his trainer respectively.

This film was taken with the help of tremendous sets. Despite, its shooting was completed in 2013 itself; the producer Oskar Ravichandran could not release this film as he was struggling hard to overcome his financial crisis. In the meantime, he released the films such as ‘Vallinam’, ‘Mariyaan’ and ‘Thirumanam ennum Nikkah’. But, no one could yield fruitful results for him. As a result of this, Ravichandran was unable to release ‘Boogolam’ for a long time.

In addition, the director Kalyanakrishnan was suffering to overcome this problem. After this film, Jeyam Ravi worked in 4 films (Nimirnthu nil, Sagalakalaa Vallavan, Romea Juliet and Thani Oruvan). Now an announcement has made that the film ‘Boologam’ will be released on 24th December and brings delight in the face of entire team of that film.

Surya adopts 3 flood hit villages

Most of us know that actor Surya dedicate a particular amount from his income for charity work regularly. He is involved in providing educational and medical assistance for the needy, being

accompanied with his father veteran actor Sivakumar.

During the first phase of rain, behalf of his family, Rs.25 lakhs was provided to the ‘flood relief fund of chief minister’. At this juncture, Surya has announced that his ‘Agaram’ foundation will adopt 3 flood hit villages (Nelvaai, Kachchur and Keragampakkam) in Tiruvallur district.

Irular community people are inhabitants of these heavily affected villages. As they have not any ID proofs, it is not possible for them to acquire the help of government. Their children do not go to schools. As their children affected with malnutrition problem, Surya has turned his attention towards those pitiable people.

Inji iduppazhagi has mostly been in the news for its leading lady anushka putting on the pounds to play central character.anushka does deserve credit for trying .she plays soundraya aka sweety a cheerful but overweight,young women and looks the part though there is at times a discernible inconsistency in her figure from one scene to the next.

Initially she doesnt seem right for the role especially when she has to act bubbly she has always seemed to be a some what mature presence. but gradually wins us over with the earnestness in her sweet-natured performance.

That is true of the film well to a certain extent.it takes us a while to settle down to its uneven rhythm.the plots revolves around sweety inability or rather her mother to find suitable match,and her falling for the hunky abhishek arya a documentrary filmmaker and one of the prospective grooms who land at her door step.

Initially she rejects him mainly to savour the idea of her rejecting someone for change,but the two develop a friendly releation ship.and just as she starts developing feelings for arya he falls for simran figured a slim social worker leaving sweety dejected.meanwhile her mother compels  her to enroll in size zero,the new slimness centre that is the talk of the town

When her friend jyothi who also a size zero member ends up in the hospital sweety learns that it is due to the dubious practise that the centre used to help its claint slim down.with from arya and anushka starts awareness campagin,much to the chargin of size zero owner satyanand.does she win in this battle does abhi realize her love for him.

The problem with inji iduppazhagi is that the script exhibits a split personality and the tone fluctuates between the feel good and the over the top and for long secetions in the second half

The focous shift from anushka journey and film turns into a fitness commercial film starts.its a  blatant attempt to sell us a message and the film spends too much time on the segmant.also because it has been shot is a bilingual the film is unable to get the milieu right.

The dialogues while witty in places feel like they were translated into tamil from another  language while the line readings by the actors dont feel natural.given the large number of non tamil faces and the fact that even anushka voice dubbed deepa venkat there are times when we are unable to shake off the feeling that we are watching a dubbed film in the sense it reminds you of aaha kalyanam another tamil,telugu bilingual that didnt feel local enough.

And in the climax it falls into a cliche trap of its own making and gives us the umpteenth instance of a well meaning guy being cruelly dumped at the altar so that the leads can have their happy ending.

But despite these issues the film manages to be engaging enough.it also gets the feel good moments right.the fairytale ish segments and the moments that showcase swetty cherry and helpful nature are done right .like her emotional dependence on fortune cookie messages to cheer herself and spread love.

The senior actor prakash raj and urvashi and gollapudi maruti rao register in their supporting roles and help us instantly get their characters and for once it is refreshing to find the hero gamely playing second fiddle to the heroine. and refreshingly the film doesnt shy away from portraying him as the object of desire much like how heroines are typically presented in the other films…

VIKRAM NEXT TO BE TITLED VIJAY OLD MOVIE

We had already reported that the new film helmed by anand shankar of arima nambi fame would have vikram and nayanthara pairing up for the first time. now if industry grapevine is anything to go by it is likely to be titled mareesan sources say that the title is a tentative one and nothing has been finalised as things are in the nascent stages.

Rumours are also abuzz that the makers are considering the title marma manidhan mystery man in addition to mareesan. if you are wondering who or what mareesan is that mythological character in the ramayana who comes in the disguise of a deer  to desive sitaand rama .

It seems that director producer lingusamy is geeting some respite with respect to his production venture the sivakarthikeyan starrer rajini murugan release .Rm produced by thirrupathi brothers has been lying in the cans for several months after its completion due to lingusamy deep financial mees from his prior movies including the losses incurred by uttama villain.

Thaanu is producing simultaneously Super Star Rajini’s Kabaali and Vijay’s 59 th film. While Tamil cinema is watching Thaanu in awe for controlling both the top heros of Tamilnadu, Director AL.Vijay’s father Alagappan has told Thaanu as President of Producer association put all the producers in dilemma by supporting Shri.

SarathKumar’s group without consulting any one in a partisan manner. In his recent report, he has mentioned that Kalaipuli Thaanu has supported Shri.SarathKumar probably for the sole reason that Thaanu might have been involved in the contract between Actor’s Union and SP1 Cinemas. Further, Producers council should not have political colour. But Thaanu in his every breath uttering the Tamilnadu CM’s name, is cheating the hon chair, but sitting in the presidential post, compelling the top stars to give call sheets and earning loads of money.

It is undemocrate for such selfish merchants to continue in President’s post. Hence all producers should combine together to owst him from that post. This will only be a beginning. After consulting other producers, I will enter in activation opposing his partisan attitudes and create impartial working of producer’s association.
