After kollywood actors and celebs from other parts like tollywood and mollywood,sandalwood,who came forward to donate money generously and work tirelessly from day one of the chennai flood situation helping with relief meterials,it is now the turn of bollywood stars to pitch in hand do their bit for devasted chennai.
Earlier there were unconfirmed reports suggesting that shah rukh khan has announced that he would donate the first day collections of his upcoming film dilwale which is to hit screens on december 18.
But later the chennai express star cleared the rumours by writing a letter to tamil nadu chief minister J.jayalalitha informing her that he is donating 1 crore towards the chief ministers public relief fund through his red chillies entertainment banner and dilwale team.
The actor has said we are deeply affected by the devastation wreaked on the city of chennai,by fury of nature at the same time,the resilience of the people of chennai and the way in which the community has come together to help each other and face this adversity is commendable and makes everyone feel really proud indeed.
The baadshah of bollywood also appreciated the state government for its massive efforts during the crisis.
