DIRECTOR HARI FIRST TIME JOINT TO ILAYATHALAPATHY VIJAY

Famous director Hari of  is said to currently on a roll to direct Ilayathalapathy Vijay for his next. ‘Vijay and Hari have interacted many times and talked about joining together for a possible project but due to their prior commitments, it didn’t happen’ states our source.

Director Hari is said to have penned a script similar to that of ‘Ghilli’ for our Ilayathalapathy. Currently talks are said to be on for bringing a leading lady on board for the same project.

It is mimed the Actor Vijay will join the sets post the production of his venture ‘Puli’ with Director Atlee. We’ll keep you posted on further updates.

ONCE AGAIN VISHAL DIRECTOR AND SIMBU CLASH

Conflicts between Director Pandiraj and Actor Simbu & crew has become quite common these days. Just recently, the director took another dig at the producers. During a recently held press meet, he was questioned on details about the release date

‘Idhu Namma Aalu‘ and here’s what he had to say. ‘From my side for INA, I finished all the work like editing and also trailer is ready, Even i’m waiting for the reply from producer side like you.

Announcing INA audio and movie release date is not in my hand. Believing that the audio release will be in Nov and movie will be in Dec. Only Producer has to decide’, he posted on his Twitter platform.

This flick is citing the reunion of Simbu and Nayantara after seven years, which is why anticipation is running high midst fans. Director Pandiraj is all set for an awesome come-back in the Simbu, Nayantara starrer titled ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’.

This romantic entertainer also stars Santhanam and marks the debut of Kuralarasan, Simbu’s brother as music director.Let’s just hope that they settle it all soon and we get to watch them on screen.

VEDALAM MOVIE CENSOR TODAY CENSOR BOARD ANNOUNCED U CERTIFICATE

The veeram siva next film named ‘Vedalam’ in which ‘Thala’ Ajith had starred as hero, is set to be released for Diwali. Other protagonists are Shruthi Hasan, Lakshmi Menon and Suri. This film was directed by Siva and produced by A.M.Rathnam. Previously, the director Siva had engaged with Ajith in ‘Veeram’ movie as the director.

Likewise, the producer A.M.Rathnam had previous experience with Ajith in ‘EnnaiArinthaal’ and ‘Veeram’ as producer. Anirudh has contributed to this film as music director. It is to be remarked that this film has acquired ‘U’ certificate from the censor board.

TAMIL FILM ACTOR VIVEK SON PASSED AWAY

Tamil lead comedy actor vivek’s son Prasanna kumar age 13 passed away due to brain fever in SRM hospital Vadapalani. Prasanna Kumar was suffering from brain fever and was been treated over a month at SRM Institutes for Medical Science at Vadapalani, Chennai, and he took his last breathe here on Thursday Afternoon.

He is survived by father Vivek, mother Arulselvi and sisters Amritha Nandini and Tejaswini. Prasanna was good at keyboard playing.

The news has shocked the entire Kollywood. May his soul rest in peace

AJITH PROBLEM COMPLAINT KARUNAAS

The popular comedian, who is the vice-president of Nadigar Sangam, said that there was an abusive post on Ajith on Twitter in his name, which has shocked him. Karunaas filed a complaint with the Chennai city police commissioner’s office today, alleging that miscreants were posting objectionable content on the social media using his name.

He requested the police officials to initiate necessary action against miscreants who had played prank. In a statement earlier, he said that he always maintained cordial relationship with all actors and never defamed anyone.

It is to be noted that someone posted a wrong information on Ajith’s health a few days ago, misusing the name of the actor’s publicist Suresh Chandra. The PRO said he would file a complaint with the cyber crime wing.

SURIYA 24 MOVIE UPDATE

Actor Suriya starrer Tamil science fiction thriller “24” shot a few scenes at a popular cricket stadium here that used to be the home turf for Indian Premier League IPL franchise Pune Warriors before it was dismissed from the cricket tournament.

“The team shot a couple of sequences in Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune. They wrapped up the shoot in a single day and are currently filming the last schedule of the film,” a source from the film’s unit told.

Also starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen in the lead roles, the film is being directed by Vikram Kumar.Produced by Suriya, the film has music by A.R. Rahman.Tipped to be a film high on computer graphics, the post-production work will reportedly take about two months and the work will start from November

Dhanush-produced “Naanum Rowdydhaan“, which also starsNayanthara and is directed by Vignesh Shivan, has raked in approximately over Rs.8 crore in its opening weekend in Tamil Nadu.

SIVA DIRECT TO THALA NEXT FILM

Siruthai Siva Director , who is giving finishing touches for ‘Vedalam’, has revealed that he would make another film with Ajith. “During the shoot of ‘Vedalam’, Ajith sir told me ‘we would do a movie again’. I am so happy to work with him for third time,” he said.

Spilling the bans on ‘Vedalam’, he said, “Right from the beginning itself, Ajith was so particular that this film should be ‘thara local’. It will be a complete treat to Ajith fans and general audience too would love it.

NADIGAR SANGAM NASSER TEAM FIRST MEETING

Earlier president Nasser, general secretary Vishal, treasurer Karthi, vice-presidents Ponvannan and Nasser inspected the Nadigar Sangam property on Habibullah Road exactly a week after they were elected to the helm of Nadigar Sangam, the new office-bearers will hold a meeting at a star hotel in Chennai, to discuss future course of action.

“At the executive meeting, things such as renaming the Sangam, convening the general body meet and honouring legends such as Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will be discussed. The meeting will start in the morning and will go on till afternoon,” sources said.

The new office-bearers will also chalk out plans to honour the promises they made before the elections. “The primary tasks will be to co-ordinate drama artistes and to construct building in the T Nagar property.”

SUPER STAR KABALI SHOOT START NOVEMBER 4 IN MALAYSIA

‘A gangster flick, ‘Kabali’ is written and directed by Pa Ranjith of ‘Attakathi’ and ‘Madras’ fame. The film produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu stars Rajinikanth, Radhika Apte, Kishore, Kalaiyarasan, Dhansika and Rithvika in key roles.

Kabali’ The Malaysian schedule of  is all set to start and Superstar Rajinikanth is already there. The ‘thalaivar’, who has fans the world over, is surrounded by admirers in Malaysia too who took photos with him.

“The schedule in Malaysia will go on for a few weeks and some important scenes will be shot. Everything has been planned well in advance to ensure that things take shape as scheduled,” sources said.

Shooting started in Chennai last month and is proceeding in brisk pace. Santhosh Narayanan is scoring the music. The movie’s Tamil and Telugu rights for United States have been bagged by CineGalaxy Inc for a whopping price.

DHANUSH AND UDHAYANIDHI CLASH

When two big films clash at the box office, it divides audiences and splits revenues for both. This has happened many times in  right from the 80s. The buzz is that the Dhanush-starrer Thanga Magan, directed by Velraj and Gethu starring Udhayanidhi in the lead, helmed by Thirukumaranwill hit the screens on the same day December 18

Interestingly, Amy Jackson play the female leads in both the movies, while Samantha will also be seen in Thanga Magan. It’s heard that the makers of two movies are eyeing a release on the same day.

And as per the trade experts, both the films enjoy good hype. They opine that one film’s release won’t affect the other one as long as it has content to satisfy the movie goers.

Earlier, there were reports that Vishal’s Kathakali, which is being directed by Pandiraj, too may hit screens on the same day. However, the actor was busy with Nadigar Sangam elections, and a source says that it would be difficult for the film to hit the marquee on December 18.

VIJAY 60 DIRECTO TO THANI ORUVAN JAYAM RAJA

If industry grapevine is anything to go by, filmmaker Mohan Raja, whose last outing was the Jayam Ravi,Arvind Swami starrer Thani Oruvan, has narrated a one liner to actor Vijay.

Rumours are abuzz that actor was apparently impressed with what Mohan Raja told him, and now there is speculation that they might do a movie together.

Raja, he said, “Yes, it is true that I met Vijay last week. It was a friendly meet. We discussed many things including films. I can’t say whether we would do any movie soon. It’s too early to talk about it.”

Currently, Vijay who is busy with Atlee’s cop drama Khaki, has yet to decide if he would be teaming up with Mohan Raja or be moving on to his next film Vijay 60 tentatively titled to be directed by SJ Suryah.

So, it’s a question of time of when the audience will get to witness the duo’s magic like they saw in the earlier blockbuster Velayudham. One may recall that Velayudham got released in 2011 and after that Mohan Raja didn’t do any movies and returned to  Thani Oruvan that got released some time ago.

It’s interesting to note that it was Vijay, who called him up and congratulated Raja for having directed an intelligent film like Thani Oruvan, to which Mohan Raja responded that Vijay is his real hero, and that the actor believed in his directorial skills before the whole world did! Meanwhile, Raja is busy with the Hindi remake of the same, and the buzz is that Salman Khan will be reprising Jayam Ravi’s role.

SURIYA ATTACK TO SARATHKUMAR TEAM

Days after new office-bearers of Nadigar Sangam, including his younger brother Karthi as treasurer, assumed charge, Suriya has come out with a statement today, congratulating the team.

Interestingly, his congratulatory statement is packed with valid inputs too. “The recent election has taught us many things. A lot of embarrassing things happened in this election campaign. In the name of criticisms, there were personal attacks. ‘Duties’ were claimed as ‘helps’.

Stating that there were mockeries on  success failures of films, Suriya stated that just because veterans had supported their favorites, they were subjected to unparliamentary words.

“Now it’s our prime duty to make sure that such things do not happen in future. Here is my request for the newly formed team and my fellow actors never perform your duty as help.

Set an example by treating veterans with respect fulfill all the promises from your heart. Drive away animosity and work hard in bringing back the unity. Let’s work hard towards the betterment of cinema,” he added.

ILAYA THALAPATHY VIJAY FANS COMPLAINT TO POLICE STATION

Fans of actor Vijay have lodged a complaint against web administrators of pages which troll Vijay on social media. A complaint was filed at the Nagarkoil police station by Mr Jos Prabhu, head of the fan club.

Mr Jos Prabhu states that, “In the past few months, there have been several posts on social media which made derogatory comments on actor Vijay and his family.

Two days ago, a Facebook page with such obscene comments was blocked by Facebook officials. Now, that page has once again been created and continues to indulge in creating and sharing troll posts.

Such posts are shocking and cause mental agony to his fans. We all know Vijay’s good deeds.” The petition requested the police to track the website administrators and ban them.

KARUNANIDHI WISH TO PANDAVAR ANI

After winning the Nadigar Sangam elections, Executive Committee member Poochi Murugan met ex-Chief Minister and actor Karunanidhi.According to aVikatan report, Karunanidhi wholeheartedly congratulated the newly elected members of the Nadigar Sangam.

He also said that the actors should now set aside the differences and work together for the betterment of the Sangam. “Change has occurred and a new team has come forward. I welcome this change,” he said.

This Sunday, actors Nasser, Vishal, and Karthi successfully defeated Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi and SSR Kannan for the posts of President, General Secretary, and Treasurer respectively.

SARATH KUMAR SPEAK TO NADIGAR SANGAM AND SPI CINEMAS

The outgoing President of the Nadigar Sangam Sarath Kumar held a press meet recently and revealed that he had cancelled the contract between the Nadigar Sangamand SPI Cinemas to build a mall in the Sangam’s land. The actor stated that the contract was cancelled on September 29 and that he wanted to announce the news after emerging as the winner in the elections.

He also added that the accounts of the Nadigar Sangam would be handed over to the new team in a week’s time. Interestingly, it was the contract between the Sangam and SPI Cinemas that was reason for the war of the words between the two teams.

The Tamil and Telugu distribution rights of superstar Rajinikanth starrer “Kabali“, a directorial of Pa Ranjith, in the US have been bagged by CineGalaxy Inc – one of the prime distributors of Indian films overseas.”We are proud to be associated with this project. A.R MURUGADOSS AGAIN JOINT TO SRUTHIHASAN

Director A R Murugadoss, who is on the verge of completing his Bollywood venture ‘Akira’, is said to be thinking about making a Tamil-Telugu bilingual as his next.

If sources are to be believed, Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan will be the lead pair of this yet untitled project, shooting for which will get a kickstart by the end of this year.

Only recently, Mahesh and Shruti proved themselves as lucky ‘jodi’ with the super hit  ‘Srimanthudu’ which was dubbed in Tamil as ‘Selvanthan’. “The actor and the actress are happy with the script narrated by the ‘Thupakki’, maker,” sources said.

In the meantime, Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to remake ‘Kaththi’ in Telugu and this will be his 150th film. Murugadoss is said to be tweaking the script according to the tastes of Telugu audience.

SURIYA NEXT MOVIE PASANGA 2 AUDIO LAUNCH

Suriya is known for championing the cause of child education through his Agaram Foundation — and is also one actor who goes to any extent to suit the character he plays.

But the prolific actor’s remarks at a recent event surprised many — when he admitted that he regrets not having donned roles akin to legends like Nagesh, Jim Carrey and Robin Williams, which would attract and appeal to children as well.

Speaking at the promo event of Pasanga-2, which has a tagline Haiku, Suriya said, “I considered it as a blessing when National Award-winning filmmaker Pandiraj met me with this project. Pandiraj’s earlier film Pasanga highlighted the issues of children from rural schools. Here in part 2, it deals with the kids belonging to city schools. Each kid is unique and special. It’s always not about getting top ranks and degrees, but also in identifying their skills and special talents.”

The Singam actor added, “Initially, Pandiraj wanted only six days of my call-sheet and later asked for 12 which extended to 14 days. Nevertheless, the script was so inspiring that I was drawn into it completely. Only then, I realised that I hadn’t done any film which appeals to children and make them happy.”

Amala Paul said that it was her dream coming true having teamed up with Suriya. “It’s a special film for me, as I’m a great fan of Suriya. I have cut down signing films after my marriage, but when the opportunity of working with Suriya came, it was like a double dhamaka and I didn’t let it go!”

While child actors Nishesh and Vishnavi play the lead roles, Bindu Madhavi, Karthik, Vidya, Ramdoss appear as the children’s parents in crucial roles. Bindu also shared her experiences on how she was able connect with the theme of the film.  Hence, I was able to relate to the issue the director had taken up. He was not preachy at any point of time, but handled it with sensitivity.”

Suriya’s entire family including his wife-actress Jyothika, brother Karthi, parents Sivakumar and Lakshmi, and sister Brindha graced the occasion. A host of filmmakers including Ram, Prabhu Solomon, Samuthirakani, Vijay, Ponram, CV Kumar, Satish, GV Prakash, and Dhananjeyan  were present at the event.

G.V PRAKASH NEW MOVIE BRUCE LEE

Though music director GV Prakash started his acting innings in the horror genre with Darling that got him decent reviews, he received quite a bit of flak for Trisha Illana Nayanthara which was an adult comedy.

However, the movie was a huge hit, and the composer has been flooded with similar offers since then. Steering clear from similar genres, GV deliberately chose a movie titled Bruce Lee, which is an action comedy.

Directed by debutant Prashanth Pandiraj, who was a contestant in the Naalaya Iyakkunar series, the movie has Tollywood hottie Kriti Gharbanda as his pair.

“Pandiraj sir was one of the judges for the Season 4 of Naalaya… show. I was glad to join him as his assistant for his movies like Pasanga 2. Since he is an expert in handling subjects that are children-oriented, I hope my film Bruce Lee will also appeal to the younger lot although it is an action entertainer. You will see GV Prakash in a different dimension altogether,” claims Prashanth. The movie will go on floors in November
