Even as filing of nominations commence today for the elections to be held on 18th October to fill up posts at Nadigar Sangam, the incumbent president Sarathkumar met superstar Rajinikanth at the latter’s residence and sought his support.
Artists and technicians have become polarized sharply in an unprecedented manner as the team led by Sarathkumar faces stiff opposition from Vishal’s ‘Pandavar’ Team. Both the teams indulged in no-holds-barred campaign, hurling accusations and counter-accusations against the other as they toured the Southern Districts to drum up the support of Drama Artistes, who form a major portion of the electorate.
While Vishal and his team met Rajini and sought his blessings and support some days back, it was the turn of Sarathkumar and his team to meet Rajini and seek his support. Sarathkumar was accompanied by Fathima Babu and other members of his team who sought Rajini’s support. Rajini listened to them patiently and assured them of his support before wishing them.
