C.V KUMAR Thirukumaran Entertainment is today entering its 5th year

When  CV  Kumar  announces  a  project  or  releases  a  film,  the  hype around the movie is high. The producer has already made a name for making commercial successes out of unusual scripts and stories.
His production house Thirukumaran Entertainment is today entering its 5th year and his next release is going to be 144.
Throwing some light on the project was Kumar’s friend and the film’s co-producer, Abinesh Elangovan of Abi and Abi Pictures who revealed on social media,
‘By the grace of the lord, our next venture with Thirukumaran Entertainment for the 8th time continuously with CV Kumar is titled as 144 starring Mirchi Siva, Ashok Selvan, Oviya, Shruthi Ramakrishna, music by Sean Rolden, editing by Leo John Paul, Camera by Gurudev and directed by Manikandan. Here is the first look poster of the movie.’
The project has been kept under wraps so far. But Fulloncinema has learnt that the film went on the floors in February this year and is now complete. An audio launch will follow soon.
We hear that 144 is a crime comedy and is set in Madurai. What’s more, the movie is based on one of renowned writer Sujatha’s novels.
The film is directed by  G Manikandan who is a first time director, having worked as a Special Effects consultant on Attakathi earlier. The cast includes actor Ramadoss who rose to fame after his role as Muniskanth in Mundasapetti, one of CV Kumar’s comedy productions.
Mirchi Siva plays a thief while Ashok Selvan plays a driver in 144.
The unusual title apparently refers to an important element in the story, namely a curfew that is imposed in a small village.
The numbers 144 refer to the section 144 of the law which deals with curfew orders. The story revolves around the comical happenings in a village when a curfew order is imposed on it
The duo have co-produced films like Thegidi, Ennakul Oruvan and Sarabham and together have released films like Soodhu Kavvum, Pizza The Villa and Kalyana Samayal Saadham
