Are looking for a film where you will be laughing often, entertained frequently, also find good, non-fussy acting, and treated to good music as well, then you will find all of that in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
From his childhood, hero Pandi Vijay Sethupathy is fascinated by the world of crime, although his cop mother, played by RadhikaSarathkumar wants him to join the police force. Pandi runs a scam at being a rowdy by running an outfit with his friends.
Kadambari Nayanthara enters this happy life of his and turns it upside totally. She cannot hear, but lip reads beautifully. She says he is not a ‘rowdy’ but only a fraud. But he is in love with her and when she asks him to  kidnaps big-time rowdy.
Killivalan played brilliantly by Partheipan so that she can knife him to death, he agrees. Killivalavan had killed both her parents and caused her to lose her hearing, so she wants her revenge. Do the two of them succeed
The first half is funny and the second is funnier, something not easy to pull off. Screenplay is very good, funny dialogues keep coming like an unlimited thali and the only fault you can find with the film is placement of a song or two. George C Williams’ camera is spot on, be it the beach, the street shots or the police station. Sreekar Prasad’s top notch editing is another reason you enjoy this film.
Nayanthara aces the role and her dubbing is excellent as well. VijaySethupathy is back with this film, his drought should be over. Partheipan revels as the ‘villain’. Anirudh should be all smiles, the songs and his background, superb..
