The film ‘Thaarai Thappattai’, directed by Bala and starred bySasikumar, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar . Ilaiyaraja is the music director of this film. Being produced by Sasikumar, this film has reached the final stage of shooting.
‘Aingaran’ has obtained the rights of this movie. Dubbing works are going on now. They have decided to release this film for ‘Pongal’. Varalakshmihas exhibited her talent in the role of ‘folk dancer Suravali’.
To be perfect in this role, she spent 3 months with real dancers to learn their culture and language. Director Bala hailed the performances of Sasikumar and Varalakshmi in the scenes which are depicting the feeling of love between the two folk karakaattam dancers through their dance.
