With his recent venture ‘Yatchan’ failing to get the expected response from critics and well as box office, director Vishnuvardhan is undetered and is gearing for his next.
His next, according to sources, will be a period film and he has tied up with veteran writer Balakumaran. “At present, Vishnuvardhan is touring temples to do research, as the story is set in the backdrop of ninth century,” they stated.
Vishnuvardhan is being accompanied by Balakumaran during his temple tour and they are reading inscriptions in the holy places to get inputs for the script. The film, which is untitled yet, will be produced by a leading banner, it is learnt.
Initially, Vishnuvardhan was tipped to do a film with Ajith as his next. But it now seems he would do this period film first. It may be recalled that he worked with the ‘thala’ for ‘Billa’ and ‘Arrambam’.
